Genealogical Web Sites:

The 1901 and 1911 Census material is the most complete. It provided transcription of the original documents, linked to the actual material via split screen technology. Work is also underway to link Great War Soldiers in the Census to their Attestation Papers at Library and Archives Canada. The 1921 Census of Canada has just been released by Library and Archives Canada but is not yet available on-line.

Milton Soldiers in the World Wars:

There is a vast amount of information on Soldiers of the Great War 1914-1919 that is available online, far surpassing the short list of connections to Canadian resources noted above. There is very little on-line information related to World War II Soldiers, as many of the soldiers are still alive and the census information and service records are still protected by privacy legislation.
