In addition to the ongoing plaquing of historic buildings in Milton, the society has also expended great effort to facilitate the restoration of historic properties, including their buildings and ancillary structures.

To date, the most significant projects have been the preservation of the old County Court House and Jail and the restoration of the Waldie Blacksmith Shop.  The MHS has also researched and published histories of some of the older buildings, such as the original Town Hall. Not to be forgotten, the restoration of the Pioneer Cemetery.
