This local cycling advocacy group required an upgrade of their WordPress.com blog to give it more features and a more professional appearance.
With limited capacity for customization, I managed to create a social network-integrated website using a three-column template that features a custom header graphic, custom background, a feature article window, and poll questions. More features will be added as the organization develops, including an events calendar and cycling route maps.
I also developed a playful and innovative strategy for engaging with local cyclists. I had business cards printed with questions about biking habits and priorities, directing cyclists to the website to enter their answers in a poll. These cards are then handed to cyclists or left on bicycles found parked around town.
